Toby is a senior software developer who has mastered all aspects of the development process from feature enhancement and performance enhancement to product testing.
Like the rest of the Tyrell Team, Toby has worked on a wide variety of projects, deploying a wide range of technologies. Some of his accomplishments include:
- Java development for a telephony application
- integrating Microsoft's Internet Explorer web browser controls into a Win32 application to provide web browsing capability as part of web site development
- serving as the technical lead in the design, implementation, and deployment of an e-commerce web site using Apple's WebObjects, Java, and XML
- implementation of an Internet chat application using Java Servlets and JSP
- adding a web-based interactive interface to an existing UNIX application using C, HTML, and Javascript.
In addition to his engineering work, Toby has also taught introductory and intermediate C++ programming classes for CS majors as well as introductory Computer Science classes for non-majors at the University of California at Riverside for the past 12 years.
